Impact on Social Cohesion
The criterion is partially established.
National evidence identifies a negative relationship between violence associated with the drug war, social capital, and institutional trust. The studies document deterioration in relevant dimensions of social cohesion, although they cover historical periods and use partial or indirect measures.
Current community interventions under Atención a las Causas are also documented. However, these sources report services, activities, and coverage rather than measured and attributable changes in trust, participation, community networks, cooperation, or resilience.
The indicator therefore receives an orange classification. X is not activated because no international cooperation was identified that implemented a domestic intervention with verifiable and sustained social-cohesion outcomes.
